Dr. Tam Wants Us To Layer COVID-19 Protections Like We Do With Clothes In The Winter
Canadians know how to layer!
Layering protections is the latest recommendation forand the country's top doctor says Canadians should all be good at it since that's what they do in the winter to keep warm.
During a press conference on November 10 and then later on Twitter, Dr. Theresa Tam explained that the ways people protect themselves should be used together in layers like their clothes when the temps drop.
That will help the country "crush COVID."
Nobody knows layering like Canadians in winter.

First of all, Dr. Tam said that Canucks should stay home if they're sick.
Then there's the base layer, which would be like a t-shirt and a sweater on top.
In this case, that would be handwashing and physical distancing.
The outer later is wearing a mask when you're in public or inside with individuals not in your bubble — the equivalent to a warm winter jacket.
"Nobody knows layering like Canadians in winter," Dr. Tam said.
While Canada waits for ato be developed and distributed, Justin Trudeau said progress on that front "won't help you or your family if you get sick now."
He also noted thatand putting in stronger restrictions is better than hoping COVID-19 will just go away.
