679 Units sold in Canada

The model is described as a 2021 model Toro Power Max 826 OHAE Snowthrowers with the serial number 37802, which can be found at the back of the product.

According to the Government of Canada, 679 of the possibly affected products were sold in this country.

The products in question were sold at Home Depot, Ace Hardware and authorized Toro dealers nationwide, both in-person and online from November 2020 through January 2021.

The company says they are recalling around 6,700 units total and that they have received five reports of incidents in relation to the machine "failing to disengage" when the lever is released.

However, no injuries have been reported.

The company asked that anyone who owns the product cease usage immediately and contact a Toro authorized dealer for a repair free of charge.
