Ugly sweater season is in full swing it seems and we've got Ryan Reynolds here to prove it!

The Canadian-born actor has teamed up with SickKids Hospital once again during the holidays for their Sweater Love campaign.

This time they lit up a giant sweater full of lights in order to raise money for the foundation.

Donations that can be matched by Samsung Canada

Reynolds took to social media this year to promote the annual initiative and before you ask, yes, he was decked out in his totally festive sweater.

It had a bow and everything.

"Every year we try to do something with my ugly — not ugly — sweater Christmas sweater to support SickKids," he said.

"This year it was particularly tough because visits have been very limited so we wanted to do something huge to show how much we love our kids."

Reynolds jokingly said that one idea was to build an army of puppies dressed in 'ugly sweaters' but later decided they were hard to train.

Another idea consisted of NHL player Auston Matthews wearing the sweater and doing cool hockey tricks which Reynolds humorously deemed 'boring.'

When all else failed the actor said he decided to "wrap the entire hospital with a sweater made of lights."

According to him, if you donate before the stroke of midnight on December 24th, Samsung Canada will match your donations up to $100,000.
