More Toronto Schools Are Shutting Down As COVID-19 Outbreaks Continue To Be Reported
Fourteen students tested positive at one school.
Severalhave now closed their doors in the wake of a series of COVID-19 outbreaks.
Toronto District School Board's databank shows that at least three of its facilities have been forced to shut down during the second wave.
Both staff and students have tested positive for COVID-19.
Number of TDSB schools closed due to COVID-19
The latest school to shutter its doors is Marc Garneau CI, who has reported 14 cases among students.
Fraser Mustard Early Learning Academy and Thorncliffe Park PS have also closed their doors due to high case numbers.
In fact, Thorncliffe Park has confirmed that a whopping 29 of its students have tested positive.
The list was last updated on Tuesday at 8:00 p.m.
Toronto and Peel Region are currently both in full lockdown. However, schools remain open.
Last month, students were told toas windows would be kept open to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
