Speeding is speeding, no matter what your excuse is. B.C. RCMP pulled over a driver going double the speed limit on Monday, October 20.

A tweet issued by the West Vancouver Police Department explained what went down.

"Yesterday, an officer from the Integrated Road Safety Unit (IRSU) impounded a vehicle on Hwy 1 near Cypress Bowl Road exit in West Vancouver," it said.

Driver's speed

While the speed itself is shocking, the excuse is even better.

According to Vancouver is Awesome, the driver was in his 20s and apparently, the reason for his extreme speed is that he had to go to the bathroom.

Surely this disruption from the cops didn't help his situation.

The driver got a hefty ticket and his vehicle was impounded.

Next time you have to go, this isn't the answer.
