Frank’s RedHot Buffalo Ranch Seasoning Has Been Recalled Due To Possible Salmonella Risk
The recalled product was shipped to Alberta, B.C., Manitoba, Ontario, Quebec, and Saskatchewan.
On Monday, July 26, McCormick & Company, Inc. issued a voluntary recall of Frank's RedHot Buffalo Ranch Seasoning because of possible salmonella contamination.
The recalled product was shipped to Alberta, B.C., Manitoba, Ontario, Quebec, and Saskatchewan between June 20 and July 21 and the products have a best-before date of September 6, 2022, according to a press release. No illnesses had been reported at the time of the recall.
"Healthy persons infected with Salmonella often experience fever, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting and abdominal pain. In rare circumstances, infection with Salmonella can result in the organism getting into the bloodstream and producing more severe illnesses such as arterial infections, endocarditis and arthritis," the release stated.
The potential contamination was discovered during routine FDA testing and products with the date code "BB / MA 2022 SEP 06" are included in the recall.
Customers are being told to dispose of the affected Frank's RedHot Buffalo Ranch Seasoning product along with its container. They can then reach out to McCormick Consumer Affairs for a replacement or a refund.
