Georgian Bay is the northeastern arm of Lake Huron. According to its tourism website, it's often called "the sixth Great Lake" and is home to 30,000 islands and 2,000 kilometres of shoreline.

Here, you'll find "windswept pines, majestic towering cliffs, endless beaches and clear blue water," as well as historic lighthouses and coastal villages.

You'll also want to explore the enchanting villages of Tobermory and Lion's Head, where you can discover hidden beaches and incredible views.

If you're craving a beach day, Wasaga Beach is a must-visit. Known as the world's longest freshwater beach, it boasts 14 kilometres of soft sandy shores, ideal for a refreshing dip.

There are many natural wonders dotted along the Georgian Bay Coastline. One of the most popular landmarks is the Grotto, an ancient sea cave with a turquoise pool.

You can take a boat ride to the majestic Flowerpot Island, known for its unique rock formations and tropical-looking waters.

The area is also home to several parks, including Bruce Peninsula National Park, Fathom Five National Park, Killarney Provincial Park and Georgian Bay Islands National Park.

Other highlights of Georgian Bay include Manitoulin Island, the scenic Georgian Bay Coastal Route, and soft-sand beaches like Balm Beach.
