Dr. Tam Is Excited To Finally 'Have A Nap' Once Everyone Gets Vaccinated

She wants some downtime!
Senior Writer

When it comes to getting a COVID-19 vaccine in Canada, Dr. Theresa Tam is excited for everyone to get doses because she'll finally be able to "have a nap."

During a live Q&A on Facebook about COVID-19 vaccines, the country's top doctor was asked why she's excited about getting vaccinated and she said the reason for her excitement is a bit "selfish.'

While she looks forward to getting her doses because she wants to protect others and doesn't want to get sick, she's mostly excited to get downtime when everyone is protected by vaccines.

"I'm going to get a little bit more rest, have a nap maybe," Dr. Tam said.

She also reiterated that there's hope for this summer with everyone expected to get one dose by the end of June but she's looking forward to the fall when everyone is fully vaccinated and we can get back to some normalcy.
