As if Florida wasn't dealing with enough, now the state has fiberglass-like creatures washing up on its beaches.

The Naval Station Mayport near Jacksonville first spotted a cluster of "sea butterflies" and shared it on their Facebook page.

Although the needle-like snails are not deadly to humans, they are prickly and will leave red bumps to the areas it comes in contact with.

Because of this, a "purple flag" will be flown over the beaches they are found washing ashore.

This will indicate that there is dangerous marine life in the area.
