This upcoming attraction in Ontario is taking theatre experiences to new heights. A new flying theatre is opening in the province this summer, allowing you to soar over some incredible landmarks.

Niagara Parks has just announced its newest, world-class experience opening on August 29, 2025. Niagara Takes Flight: A Soaring Adventure is an immersive flying theatre located inside Niagara Falls' Table Rock Centre, just steps from the majestic Horseshoe Falls.

The flying theatre is the first of its kind in the province and takes guests on a breathtaking, immersive journey through all 56 kilometres of the Niagara River Corridor with incredible views of iconic sites and landmarks. The $25 million project signifies the end of a multi-phased transformation of the Table Rock Centre — Niagara Park's flagship site.

The theatre simulates the experience of free flight, making you feel like you're actually soaring over the landscape. You'll be lifted into the air in gondola-style seating, surrounded by a massive 17-metre domed screen that wraps you in the view. The state-of-the-art drone footage paired with the motion, wind, mist, and scent effects creates a truly immersive flying experience.

The experience allows you to see the natural beauty of Niagara Falls and its surrounding landscapes across all four seasons, from vibrant fall colours to sparkling winter lights. You'll soar over landmarks including the Niagara Parks Power Station, Niagara Whirlpool, Old Fort Erie, and come closer than ever to Horseshoe Falls.

"Niagara Parks is proud to introduce guests to Ontario's newest must-see attraction, Niagara Takes Flight," Bob Gale, Chair, Niagara Parks, said in a press release.

"This project represents a significant investment into the growth and success of Niagara's tourism industry, providing a new reason for guests of all ages to visit this iconic destination. From the spectacular preshow areas to the film production itself, Niagara Takes Flight offers a new perspective and appreciation for this special place and the world-renowned environmental and cultural heritage features that Niagara Parks has been entrusted to protect since 1885."

Before heading into the theatre, you can enjoy the preshow experience, which "explores the collision of nature and humankind, showcasing natural, cultural and historic moments in time through flowing visuals and immersive soundscapes."

The preshow features five distinct storytelling rooms, each exploring Niagara's history from geological formation to industrialization and innovation.

The preshow and theatre experience lasts 30 minutes and allows you to explore the Niagara region like never before.

The attraction is in the final stages of development for its August 29 opening date, and Niagara Parks' social media channels will share additional details, behind-the-scenes footage, and more leading up to the opening.

With breathtaking views and multi-sensory elements, this new flying theatre will allow you to experience Niagara in a whole new way.
