Looking for a last-minute fall day trip? You may want to plan a visit to this enchanting Victorian village near Toronto. With old-world streets and endless autumn charm, it's a beautiful spot to soak up the harvest season.

Niagara-on-the-Lake, located a few hours from Toronto, is a charming small town with beautiful fall views.

According to Destination Canada, it's one of the the top fall destinations in the country and you can "see the changing leaves in all their glory."

The historic downtown will sweep you away to another century with its charming architecture and cute little shops.

You can dig into treats from Avondale Dairy Bar, explore the Niagara Apothecary and even get pampered at one of the town's spas.

While Niagara-on-the-Lake is known for its charm, it also has a spookier side. According to Ghost Walks, it's Canada's "most haunted town" and has its fair share of spine-tingling destinations, such as Brockamour Manor and Fort George.

Destination Canada suggests driving or biking along the Niagara Parkway, called the "prettiest Sunday drive in the world by Sir Winston Churchill."

You can also head to some of the surrounding wineries for seasonal events and beverages.

Peller Estates Winery offers tours, fine-dining and more, and even has a cellar made of ice where you can sip sweet drinks.

If you're looking for a last-minute fall road trip or weekend getaway, Niagara-on-the-Lake is a stunning spot to visit.
