Get your swimsuits ready! These Ontario lakes were just named among the "most scenic" in Canada and they're dreamy destinations for a warm-weather getaway.

Entertainment site OntarioCasinos recently looked at over 80 lakes around Canada and the world and ranked them based on Instagram and TikTok hashtag data to find out which ones were the most photographed.

Four Ontario lakes were named among the top 10 most picturesque lakes, and one also ranked among the most scenic in the world. Boasting shimmering waters and stunning beaches, these Ontario lakes are beautiful year-round.

Here is the ranking of the top 10 most scenic lakes in Canada:

  1. Lake Louise, Alberta
  2. Lake Superior, Ontario & USA
  3. Moraine Lake, Alberta
  4. Lake Ontario, Ontario
  5. Lake Huron, Ontario & USA
  6. Emerald Lake, British Columbia
  7. Pyramid Lake, Alberta
  8. Abraham Lake, Alberta
  9. Lake Muskoka, Ontario
  10. Lake Minnewanka, Alberta
Lake Superior, Lake Ontario, Lake Huron and Lake Muskoka are all Ontario spots that made the list. Lake Superior also ranked fifth for the most scenic lakes in the world, coming in behind Lake Louise.

Lake Superior is the largest freshwater lake in the world by surface area and has been dubbed "The Freshwater Sea" according to the Great Lakes Guide. You'll find "white sandy beaches, sand dunes, dense forests, ancient shipwrecks, and roaring waterfalls" along its shoreline.

Lake Ontario and Lake Huron are home to beautiful sandy beaches like Outlet Beach and Wasaga Beach, while Lake Muskoka offers rugged beauty in the heart of cottage country.

If you're craving blue water views and scenic shoreline, these picturesque Ontario lakes are calling your name.
