Get ready, shoppers! Ontario is getting a giant new Costco location, and it's bringing a first for the province with it—a Costco sushi bar!

The new Costco, located in Brantford, will open on November 8, 2024, off Wayne Gretzky Parkway, next to the Lynden Park Mall.

Brantford Costco is ready to make a big splash in the area with a massive layout, 813 parking spots, and 24 gas pumps. The new store will also have an Ontario first—an in-store sushi department, which means you can now get fresh sushi rolls during your grocery run.

Although it's the first in Ontario, it's not the first in Canada. Costco opened its first Canadian in-store sushi bar earlier this year in Vancouver, and it's received pretty positive reviews.

The new Brantford warehouse is adding many new perks to Costco's usual setup, including a full selection of beer, wine, champagne, and ready-to-drink cocktails.

According to a media release shared with Narcity, the new store opening is expected to bring around 180 new permanent jobs and 80 seasonal ones to the area.

This latest opening means Costco will have as many as 42 Ontario stores, which is the most of any Canadian province. In total, Costco now has 110 stores in Canada.

If you're planning to check out the opening on November 8, bring some coffee and your Costco membership card—it'll be an early start! The grand opening ceremony starts at 6:30 a.m. and doors open to the public at 7 a.m.

For Costco fans, this means more of the brand's classic deals on bulk items but with a bit of extra flair—think sushi and champagne to toast your massive haul. Fancy!
