It's beach time! With summer in full swing, it's time to make the most of the sunshine and spend your days in the sand. If you're looking for a beautiful beach to visit in Ontario, you'll want to plan a trip to this dreamy provincial park.

Located just under 3 hours from Toronto, the park is home to a stunning sandy shoreline and sparkling waters.

You'll find over 2,000 metres of velvety beaches and a picturesque enclosed bay at this spot, making a magical place to spend a summer day.

Here's what to know about this beach destination.

North Beach Provincial Park, located in Prince Edward County, is a popular swimming spot and is just a a short drive from its famous neighbour, Sandbanks.

It's home to a "one kilometre ribbon of sand" that shelters the beach from Lake Ontario.

It's a great spot to take a dip and soak up some summer sun.

You can enjoy 1,200 metres of sandy beach facing Lake Ontario as well as another 800 metres of sand beach on North Bay. If you're looking for a gradual drop-off, you'll want to stay on the lake side, as there is a steep drop-off on the bay side.
