Love is in the air! If you're dreaming of a romantic getaway with your favourite person, you might want to plan a trip to this Ontario city. Home to candlelit restaurants, endless attractions and luxurious hotels, it was recently named one of the world's "most romantic" destinations.

Swimwear experts at Pour Moi looked at destinations around the globe to discover "the best city breaks for those who are in love." The study analyzed more than 550 cities around the world based on three key factors: the number of times a location has been called 'romantic' by reviewers, the number of 'things to do for couples' available in each city, and the number of Instagram posts with the hashtag #datenight[city].

Pour Moi gave each destination a "Romantic Score" out of 100, and Toronto ranked fourth on the list.

According to the study, Toronto is the place to be if you want romance. The city is one of two Canadian spots featured in the roundup and beat popular destinations like Paris and Rome with a Romantic Score of 54.17 out of 100.

"Toronto is a hidden gem for romance, blending big-city buzz with cozy, intimate moments," Pour Moi says.

"Couples can take in stunning skyline views from the top of the CN Tower, wander hand-in-hand through the Distillery District's cobbled streets, or enjoy a dreamy boat ride to the Toronto Islands. With its mix of vibrant neighbourhoods, scenic spots, and world-class dining, it's easy to fall in love (and fall in love all over again) in this Canadian city."

Some of the attractions most described as "romantic" by visitors include Edwards Gardens and helicopter tours.

In addition to attractions, Toronto boasts a plethora of upscale restaurants, with 21 being named among the most romantic in Canada earlier this year.

You can also wander through Casa Loma or enjoy afternoon tea at the Windsor Arms Hotel for some extra romance.

London, U.K., was ranked as the most romantic city in the world, followed by New York and Miami. The only other Canadian spot featured on the list is Calgary, coming in at number 19. The full study can be found on the Pour Moi website.

With a range of romantic things to do, Toronto is a dreamy spot for a couple's getaway.
