If you're looking for a quiet getaway, you'll want to hop in your car and head to this tranquil small town in Ontario. Perched amidst turquoise waters and pink granite rock, the harbour village is an enchanting place to escape the hustle and bustle.

Online sports betting site Betway recently revealed the 10 "most peaceful places in North America," highlighting serene gems that stand out for their quiet charm.

The destinations were ranked based on factors such as population density, search volume for spas, and annual average air quality index, and given a score out of 100.

Five Canadian spots made the list, including one quaint spot in Ontario.

Killarney ranked at number four, with a total score of 69.57. Located on the northern shore of Georgian Bay, the region is known for its stunning natural beauty and endless outdoor adventures.

According to the Municipality of Killarney, the original Village of Killarney is the oldest community on the north shore, and is "situated at the entrance to the North Channel amidst sparkling white quartzite peaks and pink granite rock."

The village was once a fur trading post, and is surrounded by beautiful, crystal-clear waters.

One of the region's biggest draws is Killarney Provincial Park, where you'll find shimmering blue lakes and the renowned La Cloche Silhouette Trail.

Killarney also boasts a historic lighthouse, Centennial Museum, and picturesque canoe and kayak routes. Don't miss out on the iconic fish & chips at Herbert Fisheries.

Baie-Saint-Paul, Quebec, was named the most peaceful place in North America, followed by Jasper, Alberta, and Tofino, British Columbia.

It seems Canada truly leads the way when it comes to serene escapes.
