Fall is in the air, and soon the province will transform into a vibrant tapestry of colours, cozy pumpkin patches, and crisp leaves. If you're already planning those autumn day trips, you'll want to add this charming spot to your bucket list.

Located a road trip from Toronto, this tiny village seems made for fall, offering cozy cafes and a hidden waterfall.

Belfountian is a quaint hamlet situated in Caledon, approximately an hour's drive from Toronto. According to readers on Narcity Canada's Facebook page, it's a fall destination everyone should visit at least once, with autumn charm and cozy vibes.

The tiny yet beautiful village dates back to the early 1800s, featuring an old-world autumn atmosphere that will have you feeling as though you've stepped into a postcard.

One of the highlights is the Belfountain Conservation Area. The natural area offers dreamy, leaf-filled trails and a swing bridge that leads right over an enchanting waterfall. It's even more beautiful during the fall, when the forests transform into a wonderland of vibrant reds and golds.

You can also explore Forks of the Credit Provincial Park, where you'll find more dreamy fall trails and another scenic cascade.

Belfountain has several cozy cafes and quaint shops to visit after your fall adventures. You dig into sweet treats and warm beverages at the Higher Ground Café or The Belfountain Cafe for some major Gilmore Girls vibes.

You can also take a self-guided heritage walking tour around the region to discover historic buildings and sites.

The region is home to several other quaint communities within driving distance from Belfountain, such as Bolton and Cheltenham.

The hamlet is also surrounded by rustic farm markets and pumpkin fields, making fall the perfect time to visit the area.

If you're dreaming of cozy cafes, scenic trails and autumn magic, this little town is worth a road trip.
