When asked about Epic Universe's delay in yesterday's press briefing, Orange County Mayor Jerry Deming said that senior executives told him the massive project would be delayed a year.

What they said to me was that their overall constriction project is going to be delayed a year," Demings said

The new park was scheduled to open in 2023, but with the delay, that timeline is now uncertain.
