Located about 2 hours from Toronto, this destination is brimming with romance. While technically a city, it's full of small town charm, complete with frosty streets, quaint boutiques, and picture-perfect spots for a dreamy getaway.

Stratford is a gorgeous destination nestled on the shores of the Avon River. It's known for its theatre festival which runs from April to October each year, as well as its European vibes and historic charm.

While it's a popular spot to visit during the warmer months, winter is also an enchanting time to explore this town.

The area transforms into a scene from a snow globe and you can live out all your Hallmark dreams with your loved one here.

There are many restaurants with candlelit tables and romantic vibes scattered around the downtown. Some great date night spots include Bijou Restaurant, Bluebird and Revival House.

You can spend the day exploring the many shops throughout the downtown and warming up at cozy cafes like The Livery Yard, The Ashborne Cafe and Balzac's Stratford.

You can make your date even sweeter by following Stratford's Chocolate Trail, which takes you to "world-famous confectioners and bakers," according to the website.

If you're planning a weekend getaway, you can book an overnight stay at a spot like Edison's Inn or Hotel Julie.

Enjoy a little winter fairy tale at this charming Ontario destination.
