President Joe Biden says "we must do more" following a San Jose shooting that took place on Wednesday, May 26.

According to USA Today, the shooting took place at a rail yard where a gunman opened fire on his coworkers.

He killed eight people on the scene before killing himself. A ninth victim died in the hospital.

Before the news of the ninth death, Joe Biden tweeted "We are still awaiting many of the details of this latest mass shooting in San Jose, but there are some things we know for sure. There are at least eight families who will never be whole again. Every life taken by a bullet pierces the soul of our nation."

CNN reported that the gunman seemed to be targeting certain people, according to a witness. His motive is still unclear.
