You can discover one of Canada's "best" freshwater beaches right here in Ontario. Offering an endless stretch of soft-sand shores, retro charm and vibrant sunsets, it's a dreamy destination to escape to this summer.

Located 3 hours from Toronto, the beach feels like a mini tropical vacation. It's even been called "The Daytona of the North," according to Explore the Bruce, so you can imagine you're on a Florida getaway at this spot.

Sauble Beach is a coastal gem located along the shores of Lake Huron. It's a popular summer destination due to its sandy shores and small-town charm.

According to the Sauble Beach website, it's "Canada's best freshwater beach" and has "laid-back, retro, and effortlessly cool" vibes.

Destination Ontario states it's "perhaps the most luxurious white sand beach" in the province and "is one of Ontario's most highly sought-after beach destinations."

You can spend the day relaxing on the silky sand beach, taking a dip in the shimmering waves and wandering along the scenic shoreline.

The town is dotted with quaint shops, ice cream parlours and cozy beachside cafes brimming with treats.

There's lots to enjoy at this dreamy summer gem. From kayaking and paddleboarding to visiting the arcade and digging into a meal on a patio, it's a laid-back spot with something for everyone.

Throughout the summer, the town hosts events like free concerts and Sandfest — an annual celebration featuring giant sand sculptures.

You'll want to stay late, as the beach is known for its gorgeous sunsets, which paint the sky with "fiery oranges, deep purples, and soft pinks."

If you're looking for a beautiful beach to enjoy this summer, Sauble offers endless shores and old-world beach town vibes.
