Fancy a fall trip to Vermont? You don't have to cross any borders to get a taste of this magical autumn destination. This Ontario village will whisk you away to New England with its golden forests and harvest charm.

The Village of Westport, located about an hour and a half outside of Ottawa along the Upper Rideau waterway, is an enchanting place to visit this fall.

With stunning foliage, quaint streets and an old-world church, it looks like it belongs on the cover of a Vermont postcard.

The village has leafy streets lined with boutiques where you can find everything from clothing to home decor and artwork.

There are also lots of delicious spots to grab a bite to eat, from tea rooms to cafes and breweries.

If you're looking for a boozy experience, you can head to Scheuermann’s Vineyard & Winery, located just outside of the town.

During the fall months, you'll want to do some leaf-peeping and soak up the gorgeous colours the area has to offer. One popular spot to enjoy the incredible autumn views is Foley Mountain Conservation Area.

The park is home to several vibrant trails as well as the iconic Spy Rock lookout where you can enjoy towering views of the village steeped in fall colours.

Autumn can be a busy time to visit this spot, so be sure to plan ahead.

You can also enjoy a self-guided Walking Tour of Westport which takes you past heritage locations and buildings.
