The Ontario Humane Society is asking for donations after finding a dog abandoned in a plastic bag on the side of a road.

The 12-year-old senior, who has been named Mildred, was discovered near Listowel, Ontario, last month. She was found to be suffering from a variety of issues including multiple mammary tumours, a dental disease, and arthritis.

Mildred has already undergone a few initial surgeries and has had one tumour removed, but she's going to need more in the coming weeks to help her return to full health.

The Humane Society has started a fundraiser in order to help cover costs. It's already raised over $8,000 and ends August 21.

We do not envy you, Mildred, but we wish you a speedy recovery. Also, just look at that face!
