Toronto restaurants have dominated Yelp's Top 100 Places to Eat in 2024 in Canada ranking, with 20 restaurants being recognized and a local favourite coming in at first place.

A surprising amount of the Toronto restaurants named in Yelp's annual list are hidden gems, found in the cutest neighbourhoods and serving up the most delicious food without the crowds.

To make the ranking Yelp used data generated from their community submissions. "From the candidate restaurants, we narrow the list down with the expertise of our community managers and Trend Expert to curate a list as quirky, interesting and unique as the Yelp Community itself," Yelp explained in their methodology.

In first place is a Toronto restaurant called Chen Chen's Nashville Hot Chicken. This Queen Street West sandwich shop is known for its juicy and saucy Halal chicken. They also serve other Southern comfort foods like mac and cheese and boneless wings.

If you haven't had a chance to try this spot yet, then this ranking is just one more reason to visit!

Here are the 20 Toronto restaurants that you should check out because not only did they make Yelp's Top 100 Places to Eat in Canada list, but they are so drool-worthy:
