The driver was eventually pulled from the vehicle and rushed to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

"It really is a miracle that they were able to get the driver out and get him to hospital," OPP Sgt. Kerry Schmidt said to CP24.

The incident has also affected Allen Road and according to NewsTalk1010, MTO officials will assess for structural issues.

The eastbound express lanes remain closed between Highway 400 to around Yonge.

According to the OPP, the priority is to get express lanes open as early as possible. As of now, there are no updates.

"This is an unbelievable mess they're dealing with right now," said Sgt. Schmidt.

This incident is unfolding and Narcity will provide updates as they occur.
