Ontario Is The Only Region In All Of North America Where You Can't Eat Inside A Restaurant

And we're still three weeks away from indoor dining. 😩

Staff Writer

For the next three weeks, Ontario will be the only region in the whole of North America where people can't eat inside of a restaurant.

That's according to Restaurants Canada, who says Ontario has lost over $10 billion in revenue because of the year-long ban on indoor dining.

Indoor dining is set to resume in Ontario in Step 3 of the reopening plan, which likely won't take place until three weeks after the Step 2 reopening on June 30.

And while patio dining in Ontario is now allowed, restaurants have been begging the provincial government to also allow them to open their doors to customers for weeks now.

"We need to pick up the pace now, or many businesses won't even make it to reopening," Dan Kelly, president of the Canadian Federation of Independent Business, said in early June.
