It has arrived. The City just unveiled the new Toronto sign, and it's looking shiny.

The new, more durable replica of the original was revealed on Friday.

The sign contains a vinyl wrap, which is an art project entitled "Patterns of the People, in recognition of the United Nations’ International Decade for People of African Descent," says a news release

Designed by Danilo Deluxo McCallum, the wrap will be commemorating a decade of "recognition, justice and development" for people of African and Indigenous descent.

This new installation also has better lighting capabilities and is more durable than the original.

The old sign was torn down last week in Toronto, before making its reappearance today.
