Raccoon Spotted Lurking In A Car Engine Near Toronto Last Night (PHOTO)
Police officers in the GTA performed an unexpected rescue mission on Monday night.
Halton Police shared a photo of a raccoon trapped in a car engine in Oakville, with just its nose and paws sticking out.
Police say they were called to the scene of a crash when they made the alarming discovery.

"Officers were able to use their mechanic skills to set it free," police say.
Despite being jostled around under the hood of a car, the raccoon appeared unharmed.
Raccoons get themselves into some pretty sticky situations in Ontario.
Earlier this summer, Torontonians came together to rescue a trash panda stuck at the top of a construction crane. Just a few weeks ago, a raccoon was spotted hopping the fare gate at an OC Transpo station in Ottawa.
