The date the bylaw will stay in place.
Toronto approved the extension of its temporary mask bylaw until 12:01 a.m. on June 8, the date set for their City Council meeting.
This means that residents are required to continue to wear coverings in indoor public settings and common areas in apartments.
It is also still recommended to wear a face mask whenever it is not possible to keep your distance.
"These bylaws are a temporary and necessary response to the ongoing pandemic," read a statement from the City.
The announcement comes in the same week that these bylaws were set to expire across the city.
However, it is recommended that Toronto’s Medical Officer of Health will check-in monthly to see if these bylaws still need to be in place.
