If you're looking to work from the comfort of your home, the 6ix is one of the best places to be. Toronto was just named on the top spots across the world for the Work-from-Anywhere Index by Nestpick.

According to the study, the Ontario capital landed at number 12 on the index with a score of 82.41 out of 100, while also scoring the top spot for best healthcare. Toronto also ranked high for gender equality, and safety, freedom and rights.

The study was conducted across 75 global cities with the "proper infrastructure and legislation" to allow remote employees to work from home with ease, with a special interest in cities that are welcoming and accommodating to foreign workers.

Those 75 cities were judged and analyzed by their "cost and infrastructure, legislation and freedoms and livability" across 16 factors.

Some of these factors included remote worker immigration, income tax, cost of living, weather, healthcare, accommodation availability, gender equality, COVID-19 vaccination rates, pollution, culture and leisure and remote working infrastructure.

The top 15 cities are as follows:

  1. Melbourne, Australia
  2. Dubai, UAE
  3. Sydney, Australia
  4. Tallinn, Estonia
  5. London, UK
  6. Tokyo, Japan
