Canada's Wonderland's Splash Works is now open to the public, but your next trip to the 20-acre waterpark won't be exactly the same as you remember.
The attractions at Splash Works have been assessed to accommodate physical distancing, a representative of the amusement park told Narcity. Masks or face coverings are still required in all of the indoor areas of the waterpark, and in places where distancing can't be maintained. All visitors who are two years old and older are required to wear one.
"Guests from the same household can sit together in an inner tube ride if it accommodates multiple people," said the rep.
A reservation is required for entry into Splash Works, which can be made on Wonderland's website or through the mobile app to ensure capacity restrictions are followed. In step three of reopening, capacity will be expanded to 50% indoors and 75% outdoors.
Along with other rides throughout the park, Splash Station, Pumphouse, and the Lazy River will remain closed at this time because they aren't ideal for social distancing.
Visitors to Splash Works will have to undergo all of the same requirements for entry to Canada's Wonderland, including a health screening and having their photo taken upon arrival at the main entrance of the amusement park.*
A brand new cliff-jumping attraction has also opened at Splash Works, called Mountain Bay Cliffs, which allows you to plunge into the water from mountain peaks as high as 25 feet.
