Get ready for take-off! Air Transat flights are finally flying again from three Canadian cities as of July 23.

It was announced that the Montreal-based airline is taking to the skies once again with the resumption of commercial flights.

Flights have resumed

There are three international and domestic routes launching on July 23: Montreal-ToulouseMontreal-Paris, Toronto-London, Montreal-TorontoToronto-Montreal and Toronto-Vancouver.

This comes after 112 days, almost four months, of shutdown because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

For comparison, the airline's parent company said that after 9/11, it took just two days for flights with Air Transat to start resuming gradually.

Air Transat's summer schedule, which includes 24 routes to about 20 destinations, will be fully up and running by August 2.

Even as destinations reopen to tourists and airlines start flying again, Canada still has a global advisory in place that warns against all non-essential travel outside of the country.
