Summer is inching closer and there's another reason to get excited.

B.C.'s largest waterpark is opening next month, meaning you'll soon be able to take a trip there to enjoy the various waterslides and lazy rivers.

Cultus Lake Waterpark, about a 90-minute drive from Vancouver, has announced its opening weekend will be June 8 and 9 and tickets are on sale now.

The popular waterpark has everything from small pools for kids to speedslides and other wild rides like the Bazooka Bowls which will have you swirling around before dropping you into a pool below.

The park also has rides designed for thrill-seekers like the Valley of Fear, which is B.C.'s only freefall tube slide.

The park also has concession stands with food and plenty of sweets so you can spend your whole day enjoying all the fun activities the park has to offer.

Cultus Lake Waterpark has two summer kickoff weekends planned for June 8-9 and June 15-16 before it opens for limited hours throughout the week in late June.

The park will be open every day starting in June and into August before it closes on September 2.
