Buckle up for a wild ride, because Vancouver is now home to "Canada's fastest launch coaster" as of this weekend. The PNE is opening up the highly anticipated ThunderVolt ride, which looks equally fun and terrifying — depending on how much you like an adrenaline rush.

The PNE website describes this ride as taking passengers "through a supernatural environment with extraordinary animals, graphics and lighting that pulses as the ride system charges, leading up to its launch."

The launch is no joke, with 1.3 Gs of acceleration blasting you through a tunnel, and then going on to an 18-meter drop.

The ride sounds pretty heart-pumping, to say the least.

12 people can take the ride at a time and it opens this weekend, on July 6, so get your tickets early! The 'extreme' ride requires a Thrill Seeker Pass to try out.

The popular amusement park has a lot else out there you can explore too, with over 40 rides and attractions. If you need a break from the adrenaline after going on the ThunderVolt then you can opt for some of the games or a round of mini-golf.

The park is open Wednesday to Sunday in July and August from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and select Fridays and Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., plus the PNE also hosts concerts and fairs that you can check out.

Happy thrill-seeking!
