This 'hidden jewel' small town was named among Canada's 'most beautiful places to live'

Rolling farms melt into scenic lakesides here.

One of Canada's most beautiful places to live is this little town, tucked away about two hours from Vancouver and full of breathtaking scenery. The small village sits on a sandy lakeshore, with mountains enclosing the sparkling water.

We polled the Narcity audience to find out the most beautiful spots to live in Canada, and Harrison made the cut. The tourism website for Harrison Hot Springs dubs the village a "hidden jewel," and one look at the natural wonder here proves that right.

From soaking in the famous hot springs and venturing into the lush forest, to kayaking around the scenic lake — there's a lot of adventure awaiting you here.

In town, you'll find quaint streets, lined with charming shops, cozy cafes, and restaurants.

Summers here mean lying out on the stunning white sandy beach, or under the beautiful weeping willow trees that offer shade.

If you want to have some fun on the lake, you can go to Harrison Water Sports, which has a massive inflatable water park, bumper boats, and sea-doo rentals.

Lush forest surrounds the town, with trails leading you to booming waterfalls, epic views, and lake lookouts.

You can also visit the farms all around the town — wandering the purple fields of Harrison Lavender, or grabbing a snack at Farm House Natural Cheeses.

There's even a self-guided bike tour that you can follow through the picturesque countryside, following the Agassiz-Harrison Circle Farm Tour guide. According to the website, the "flat 26-km ride takes you from Harrison Hot Springs through the fertile farmlands of Agassiz as you ride alongside mountains, barns, corn fields, llamas, grazing cows, sheep, chickens, and New Zealand potbelly pigs!"

A visit to town isn't complete without a dip in the Harrison Hot Springs Indoor Public Mineral Pool, with its healing waters.

From long stretches of idyllic farmland to lake fun, Harrison is definitely a beautiful place to call home.
