This tiny town tucked away in B.C. is framed by rolling mountains, hillside vineyards, sparkling waters and sandy beach. It's a place where the summers seem endless with sunny days on the lake stretching into a warm fall and temperate winter.

It's unsurprising that people want to call this place home — shown in a recent poll on the Narcity Canada Facebook page that asked readers what the best BC small towns to live in are.

Summerland was highlighted by locals, and yes, even the name is dreamy. It's an idyllic small town in B.C., in the Okanagan region of the province.

The Okanagan is a go-to summer destination as a whole, known for its beautiful weather and lakeside fun. Wineries are around every turn here basically, so weekends can be spent wandering around a scenic vineyard.

You can head to Bottleneck Drive to tour wineries and cideries, which maps out 18 stops on a "wine route."

Summerland is one of the more low-key communities in the area, with a quaint vibe. You can wander around town exploring the local cafes, shops, and boutiques.

Sun-Oka Beach is a stunning park there with soft sand, and calm water. There's lots of beaches to choose from, though (as you may expect from a town called Summelrnad). Kinsmen Beach and Peach Orchard Beach are popular ones, and Rotary Beach is especially picturesque.

If you want something a little more activity you can make the hike up Giant's Head Mountain to get an incredible view of the area.

Summerland is like an escape into another world — one full of beauty and peace.
