Alberta's weather forecast is calling for a 'big chill' that might bring snow to Calgary
A "weekend cooldown" is coming! ❄️

Calgary in the winter with snow.
The weather forecast for Alberta is looking chilly, and both Calgary and Edmonton might be getting some snow to start next week. Temperatures are set to drop over the weekend, and a taste of the winter season will hit.
The Weather Network says that although the Prairies have been enjoying pretty mild temperatures lately, things are about to turn around. "An upper-level trough over Western Canada will move in on Friday to open the floodgates for Arctic air to sink over the Prairies, drastically dropping temperatures across the region."
This means a drop from the upper teens to lower single-digit temperatures by Monday. For those in Calgary and Edmonton, you might see snow in the forecast to start the new week.
Looking at The Weather Network's seven-day forecast for Calgary, the city is indeed expected to get some snow on Monday. Throughout the day mixed precipitation is forecasted, with light snow and scattered flurries in the evening and overnight.
"The weekend cooldown will be even more drastic in Saskatchewan and Manitoba, where highs in the low 20s will quickly fall to below ten degrees on Monday and Tuesday," TWN added.
The weather forecast across Canada is looking intense, with B.C. set to get its first significant atmospheric river of the season this week, and the country's first blizzard of the season brewing.
Get ready for winter Canada, because it's coming!
