Based on factors like the cost of living, average house prices, unemployment and crime rates, creditcardGenius compiled a list of Canada's most desirable spots to settle down.

It was Quebec City that took the top spot on the list, where the median household income is over $66,000 and where the average home costs $254,700, according to the company's research.

The city is described as an "absolutely beautiful place to live, work, and visit," in addition to being "a historical and cultural gem."

Moncton and Saint John in New Brunswick took second and third place, respectively, in the ranking, while St. John's, Newfoundland, and Hamilton, Ontario, rounded off the top five.

Ontario's London and Ottawa were also on the list, in addition to Edmonton, Charlottetown and Calgary.
