Funnel cake and thrilling rides are just around the bend! Canada's Wonderland is opening soon, so you can once again enjoy a range of attractions and iconic amusement park treats.

The 330-acre Vaughan park will open its doors to the public on May 8. The 2025 season promises a lineup of exciting events, entertainment, and even a new ride.

The AlpenFury, the park's new record-breaking roller coaster, is slated to open in late spring and is the "tallest, longest, and fastest" of its kind in Canada.

Announced in August 2024, the thrilling ride spans 1,000 metres across Canada's Wonderland and reaches speeds of 115 kilometres per hour.

It features nine "breathtaking" inversions — the most of any launch coaster in the world — as well as two different launches, one that takes guests into the heart of Wonder Mountain and another that shoots them out the top, 50 metres into the air.

There's no exact opening date for the AlpenFury just yet, but with an anticipated late spring opening, coaster fans won't have to wait much longer to experience some major thrills.

"We're excited to welcome guests back through the gate and usher in another season of thrills and family fun," Phil Liggett, general manager, said in a press release.

"AlpenFury will be a great addition to our coaster lineup, providing a unique thrill experience you won't find anywhere else. Our team is committed to ensuring guests have a great visit and we're here to help them create memories that last a lifetime."

In addition to rides, Canada's Wonderland will host a range of SUMMERBRATION events throughout the season, including long weekend fireworks and a Food & Wine Festival.

Later in the year, you can enjoy celebrations such as Oktoberfest and Halloween Haunt, with the dazzling WinterFest bringing the year to a festive close.

Splash Works, Wonderland's 20-acre water park, will open on May 24.

Tickets and passes for Canada's Wonderland are currently available online, including a new Silver Pass, which starts at $89 and includes unlimited visits through Labour Day.

Get ready for endless thrills and more at Canada's Wonderland this year.
