Calling all thrill-seekers! Canada's Wonderland is known for its speeding roller coasters and heart-pounding rides, and things are about to get even more exciting with the addition of a brand new attraction.

Today, the theme park announced in a press release that it will be opening a "record-breaking launch coaster" that's the "tallest, longest, and fastest" of its kind in Canada.

The new ride will take you inside the iconic Wonder Mountain and will be the park's nineteenth roller coaster. Spanning 1,000 metres across the park, the attraction will reach speeds of 115 kilometres per hour and will twist through nine inversions – the most of any launch coaster in North America.

Here's what to know about the new roller coaster.

AplenFury is set to open at Canada's Wonderland in 2025. The attraction is inspired by fire and ice and will take guests on an epic journey to "face nature's wrath."

The ride will feature two different launches, one that takes guests into the depths of the Mountain, and another that will shoot them out the top, 50 metres into the air.

"AlpenFury is a world-class attraction, and we're excited for the unique thrills it will offer our guests," Phil Liggett, general manager at Canada's Wonderland said in a press release.

"The combination of being blasted out of Wonder Mountain, and then racing through nine inversions one right after the other, is going to be an experience guests won’t soon forget."

Designed by Premier Rides, AlpenFury will be the fourth roller coaster to interact with Wonder Mountain and the main attraction in Alpenfest, which is set to become a designated area in the park next year.

In this new village, you can discover "a festival celebrating the mystical union of fire and ice." You'll begin the AplenFury experience at a sled haus that will take you on a journey into the mountain aboard a sled.

No official opening date has been set for AplenFury, so stay tuned for updates!
