A Canadian flag. Right: Chelsea Handler in Whistler.

Chelsea Handler loves Canada and she's sharing her reasons.

Handler often shares pictures and videos from her trips to Whistler, B.C. and in a new interview she admits to spending more time in Canada than people might think.

In an interview clip that etalk shared on its Instagram page, the comedian and actress expressed just how much she loves being in Canada.

"Canada has been very good to me," she told etalk's Lainey Lui.

"I spend my winters here for the last like five years [...] I like to spend at least three or four months a year in Canada."

Handler had talked about possibly moving to Canada if Donald Trump were to be elected president years ago.

During the etalk interview, Lui brought that up and asked the actress how Canada had performed in that audition.

"It's an A+ situation," Handler replied without hesitation.

So what does the comedian love so much about Canada?

"We are aligned with our value system, in the drugs, the legalization of all the things that I love to imbibe, that is another motivator," she said.

"The people are civilized I should say and there are no guns in Canada so there's just so much to celebrate."

Handler spends a lot of time at her place in Whistler during her visits across the border.

She's also celebrated her birthdays on the slopes with a unique tradition: skiing partially nude or in barely-there outfits like a bikini with a Canadian flag in the middle.

Handler has been spending a lot of time in Whistler over the past month and has been sharing photos and videos with her fans online.

She's also currently on tour and has several Canadian stops planned in February and March, including in Winnipeg, Edmonton, Calgary, Victoria and Vancouver.
