There's some positive news coming out of the city's restaurant scene this week.

Tokyo Hot Fried Chicken is giving out free meals in Toronto to those affected by the recent shutdown.

The venue, which serves Japanese inspired sandwiches and dishes, revealed that it will be giving away 10 free meals a day in an Instagram post on Monday.

In the post, the restaurant acknowledged that many people in the community are facing a difficult time after losing their jobs, businesses, and more.

"We are offering 10 FREE meals a day to those of you who support and follow us and who need it most."

The venue has also started a feed-it-forward program, where you can buy a meal for someone in need.

"As we navigate through these times the one thing we have realized is that we are definitely stronger together," the establishment added in the post.
