The Government's Science & Tech Internship For Young Canadians Still Has Some Spots Open

Are you 15-30 years old and looking for work? Well, you’re in luck because thestill has some internships available right now.
Natural Resources Canada (NRC) is looking for young prospects who fit the bill for their science and technology program.
Best of all, they're still accepting applications for a few of their internship positions.*
What is the job?
NRC is currently seeking candidates for their Science and Technology Internship Program (STIP), and according to their website, the program seeks to help people of different backgrounds acquire experience in the natural resources field like energy, forestry, mining and earth sciences.
And if that's not quite up your alley but you still want to work within the scope of this program, the Government of Canada launched a call for proposals for employers or organizations who would like to hire interns for their future programs.
If you want to participate in the next round of hiring in the government-subsidized internships, you have until January 13, 2020.*
What are the requirements?
The gigs will require youth to have important work experience in science and technology. They also said that experience in engineering and math is also essential in being a successful candidate.
"Green jobs are the future in a world that increasingly values sustainable practices," the website read. "Young Canadians play an important role in shaping the future of Canada’s green economy."
Additionally, to be considered you have to be between the age of 15 and 30 at the beginning of the internship.
You also have to be eligible to work in the country and be a Canadian citizen, a permanent resident, or have refugee status.
