Health Canada has just added over a dozen more hand sanitizer recalls to the lis. The included products may pose health risks to Canadians for a number of reasons ranging from not being authorized for sale in Canada to being deemed counterfeit. In addition, they may not contain the active ingredients Canadians would expect them to contain. Health Canada Of the new hand sanitizers added to the list, one of which has been deemed counterfeit: Zytec Germ Buster by Northern National Sales, Inc. The others have been listed for reasons such as faulty packaging, being sold without proper testing, incorrect labelling, and the list goes on. Health Canada advises that you stop using the products on the list, follow local guidelines on safe disposal or return it to a local pharmacy and talk to your doctor if you have health concerns. Check the labels on your sanitizer bottles to ensure you aren't using one of the recalled products and be sure to refer back to Health Canada for future notices like this.
