If you’ve ever wondered what a group of world leaders would discuss during a meeting, Canada’s PM has got you covered! Justin Trudeau just revealed what went on during this year’s G20 Leaders’ Summit.

Every year, leaders from countries around the world gather together to discuss policies, initiatives and their goals for the future.

The summit was held virtually this year and while Trudeau admitted that it looked “different,” he said it was as important as ever to “address challenges like COVID-19 and climate change.”

In a statement shared on November 22, the PM revealed a little bit more about what was talked about during the virtual global meeting.

During the Summit, the Canadian prime minister highlighted a number of issues, including the importance of G20 leadership in beating the COVID-19 pandemic and restoring economic growth.

This included discussions about vaccines and creating new jobs that would “benefit all of our citizens.”

Additionally, Trudeau also spoke with his international counterparts about taking “ambitious action” in the fight against climate change, in line with Paris Agreement commitments.

Per the PM’s own statement, he also “stressed the need to respect and defend the rule of law and human rights, including women’s rights, in order to prevent persecution and mistreatment around the world.”

Sounds like an interesting meeting, eh?

Ahead of the Summit, which was hosted by Saudi Arabia, a “family photo” of the world leaders was shared by the Saudi G20 Presidency.
