Shortly before his Super Bowl halftime performance, The Weeknd has announced that he's taking his show on the road.

The artist is going on a massive world tour in 2022 and according to Live Nation, he's already sold almost 1 million tickets.

The Weeknd will travel to all corners of the globe, from his Toronto hometown to the Czech Republic and beyond.

The tour will begin on January 14, 2022, at Vancouver's Pepsi Live at Rogers Arena.

"Due to overwhelming demand, The Weeknd will also be adding dates in Australia, Southeast Asia, South America and Mexico to the After Hours Tour, to be announced," says Live Nation. 

Just days ago, The Weeknd wowed Super Bowl viewers with his halftime show and received praise from fellow famous Canadians like Drake and Justin Trudeau. 

"Congratulations on rocking the world’s biggest stage [...] you’ve certainly earned it," tweeted the prime minister. "Hope you heard all the cheers from back home."

The tour is set to wrap up on November 16, 2022, at the O2 in London, England.
