These 5 small towns in Canada are among the most charming in North America
They're well worth a visit this summer. ☀️

A person in a small town in B.C. Right: A small town in Canada.
If you want to explore some of Canada's best small towns this summer, look no further.
The country is full of charming towns and cities brimming with adventure — in fact, some of Canada's small towns have been named among the best in North America.
Five Canadian small towns were recently named the "most charming" in the region, promising tons to see and do including parks, landmarks, and beautiful nature to explore.
In May, sports betting platform Betway revealed a list of the most charming small towns in Canada and the U.S., which included several Canadian gems.
If you're looking to trade in the city for the slower pace of small-town life, here are the top five most charming small towns in Canada that you'll want to visit:
Whitehorse, Yukon
Why You Need To Go: Whitehorse is officially Canada’s "most charming town." The tiny town in the Yukon territory is known for its magnificent wilderness.
Here, you can gaze at the northern lights and embark on endless outdoor adventures.
According to Betway, Whitehorse was found to have the most museums on its list, as well as the most art galleries.
The town also has the third most landmarks, and the fifth most positive sentiment out of any other town.
"if you move here, you can discover wildlife at Yukon Wildlife Preserve, explore the exhibits at SS Klondike, or wander down the pretty Whitehorse Waterfront," said the platform.
Langley, B.C.
Why You Need To Go: Langley, B.C., is the second most charming town in the country, with Betway noting that it has more parks than any other Canadian town on their list.
Langley is the Fraser Valley’s "wine and libations" destination, and is also the home of historical Fort Langley.
The cute town has tons to do, including farm experiences, beautiful parks and trails, restaurants, lounges, shopping, and so much more.
According to Betway, Langley also has the second most landmarks at 17, as well as the joint second most museums of any town on their list, so you'll likely never be bored here.
Brockville, Ontario
Why You Need To Go: Located on the St. Lawrence River, Brockville is Canada's third most charming small town, and has tons to see and do.
Scuba enthusiasts can explore century-old shipwrecks and statues here located along the bottom of the St. Lawrence River, like at Centeen Underwater Dive Park, an underwater sculpture park home to over 45 statues created by some of the area’s best artists and art students.
The city is also a gateway to the 1000 Islands, with cruises departing several times daily from the town and taking visitors on excursions to the islands.
Here, you can also discover one of Canada's oldest railway tunnels, which is decked out with lights and music.
Duncan, B.C.
Why You Need To Go: Located on Southern Vancouver Island, Duncan is the Cowichan Valley’s largest community, and is the fourth most charming small town in Canada.
Known as the “City of Totems", Duncan is home to the world’s biggest collection of outdoor totems, with nearly 80 found throughout the city.
According to Betway, Duncan also boasts the joint second most museums of any small town on their list, as well as the fourth most parks for visitors to explore.
Owen Sound, Ontario
Why You Need To Go: Coming in as the fifth most charming town in Canada is Owen Sound in Ontario.
"Home to 13 parks (the joint most on our list), and four museums (joint second), there’s plenty to do here," says Betway of the small town.
Located at the base of the Bruce Peninsula, Owen Sound is surrounded by gorgeous nature, from the Georgian Bay shoreline to the limestone cliffs and scenic waterfalls of the Niagara Escarpment.
The town is home to outdoor attractions like gorgeous beaches, scenic lookouts and waterfalls that will take your breath away.
