Calgary Just Announced That Masks Will Be Mandatory For The Rest Of The Year
Failing to wear one could result in a fine.
Better keep your masks handy because during a council meeting on Monday, September 14, it was announced that mandatory Calgary masks will continue to be implemented for the rest of the year.
The city council voted in favour of officially keeping the current in place — it first came into effect on Saturday, August 1.
Failure to wear a face covering where required can result in a penalty of $50.

People aremasks when in public indoor spaces, public vehicles, or on public transit.
While cities like Edmonton gave out, Calgary has no similar program in place.
The city's next mask update will be decided upon during a council meeting set to be held on Monday, December 14.
