Getting tested is about to get a whole lot easier. Doug Ford announced on Wednesday that thousands of new Ontario COVID-19 testing centres will be coming to the province. 

The announcement comes after massive lines were seen at centres across Ontario.

The premier said that the province is "ready" and "ramping up" testing availability.

While it is unclear exactly when these new facilities will be up and running, the premier hints that some of them could be in pharmacies such as Rexall and Shoppers. 

"We’re gonna have more testing areas than anywhere in the country bar none." 

"As I was mentioning out here numerous times the second wave is coming. We’re prepared to get everything ramped up in a matter of days," Ford assured.  "We're gonna have this up and going."

COVID-19 case numbers have been rising, with 315 reported today.
