Here's Everything That's Closing In Toronto, Peel & Ottawa Starting At Midnight
Our new reality for at least 28 days.
On Friday afternoon, Premier Doug Ford announced thatwould be moving back into a modified stage 2 for the next 28 days.
The changes go into effect come midnight tonight.
Ford admitted that this has been the hardest decision he's had to make as premier.
This is the single toughest decision I've made in office. Bar none.
First and foremost, all indoor dining atwill be suspended in these regions. However, delivery and takeout are still on.
All indoor gyms, fitness classes, yoga studios will also be closed.
Casinos, bingo halls, performing arts centres, and indoor theatres will fall into the closures as well.
Any interactive exhibits at zoos, museums, science centres or landmarks "with high risk of personal contact" have been mandated to cease operations.
You will also not be able to participate in any personal services that require you to remove a face covering. An example of this is make-up applications or bread trimmings.
Team sports have been limited to practice sessions only - no games or scrimmages will be allowed.
And finally, gathering limits for public, organized events have been reduced to 10 indoors and 25 outdoors — the same.
In addition to these closures and cancellations, public health officials are asking residents to stay home as much as possible, only leave their house if necessary, and to limit provincial and inter-provincial travel to essential trips only.
